brian, txn says capexes will be flat in 99. intel says the same. dram folks say the same - though they'll probably be lower. seems everyone says 99 is a nonevent.

am i correct to feel that all the longs here are waiting for 2000-2001? isn't that a bet on the overall economy as amat will tend to trade w/ the overall market?

is anybody seeing an awful broad valley?
