If you haven't been able to tell yet, I often enjoy playing "devil's advocate"... it tends to get some interesting discussion going... *grin*

The flip side of this is that the government might fear backlash from "voters" if they end up paying massive amounts of compensation. The public might take the large settlements as a kick in the head, all because of the government's stupidity in turning the land into parkland without considering the consequences!?

I really don't know what the public attitudes/opinions are in BC.

I think Rock will be a winner know matter how much they get (from this share price)... but obviously, the more they get, the more Rock (and shareholders) prosper.
