Company Press Release
Leah Industries Inc. Enters E-commerce Market
SAN ANTONIO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 20, 1999--Leah Industries Inc. (OTC BB:LEAH) is pleased to announce that the company has registered the Web site win-doororder.com where the company will begin selling its line of windows, doors and other building supplies, materials and related products through its subsidiary, a company called WIN-DOOR.COM INC.

Because of the popularity of these products in the European common market, Leah Industries will begin offering the same quality products on-line to individuals, builders, lumber yards and other retail outlets in North America and eventually on a worldwide basis at prices lower than those obtainable now. Leah Industries Inc. eventually plans to spin off this subsidiary some time in March 1999, details forthcoming.

Commenting on the WIN-DOOR.COM INC. business and the new Web site, Birte Boock, CEO of Leah, stated, ''This will be strictly an e-commerce/online business. Our overhead is low and we have already established niche markets overseas. WIN-DOOR.COM will be the Home Depot of the Internet.''

In addition, Leah Industries Inc. has also launched its own Web site, leahindustries.net. The site is under construction and should be accessible in a matter of days. The site will contain information about the company, press releases, financial information, company news, product lines, contact information and special links to e-mail the company or to request investor packages. The company's Web site will be key-worded so that it may be located by interested parties on popular search engines such as Yahoo! (Nasdaq:YHOO - news), Infoseek (Nasdaq:SEEK - news), Lycos (Nasdaq:LCOS - news), Excite (Nasdaq:ECIT - news), and others.

Commenting further, Birte Boock, CEO of Leah, added, ''This is what our shareholders and customers have been waiting for. As our year-end audit nears completion and we file to become a fully reporting company, more and more requests for information are coming in daily. This Web site will bridge the communication and information gap as we move the company forward and continue to build shareholder value.''
