Some idiot congressman tried to ask Greenspan a pointed question concerning valuation of internet stocks (and high tech)...Greenspan, correctly, stated that he did not comment on individual stocks or groups of stocks... I am embarrased...this guy has a Southern accent....can WE PLEASE get rid of the good 'ol boys, and get some people who represent the new South....it is embarrassing for the rest of us.. It blows my mind that the Congressman would ask such a stupid question...putting aside our (collective) interest in seeing the market rise....what purpose would it serve to have Greenspan comment on ANY INDIVIDUAL STOCK GROUP? The Congressman should be smart enough to know (and obviously does not) that assessing valuation is an incredibly complex thing...even beyond the scope of Greenspan... I used to live in South Carolina.........Strom Thurmond.....Confederate flag flying above the capitol....Embarrasing...
