I personally don't believe much in that MM conspiracy stuff with big stocks. Penny stocks - yes.

AOL looks very powerful to me here, based upon Microsoft reporting on huge sales of PCs. Every one of those PC sales comes with a non-declining priced version of Windows 98 and a substantial number of them will result in a non-declining price subscription to AOL. As Microsoft profits from operating systems go, so go AOL subscriptions, at least right now. Every newbie should sign up with AOL, THERE IS NO REASON TO CHOOSE SOME OTHER ONLINE SERVICE, except perhaps a trial version of Compaq's, to get the rebate.

In AOL's marketing expenses, I do worry about the expense of carpet bombing America (now the world) with AOL 4.0, but not TOO much.
