BEVERLY HILLS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 20, 1999-- Entertainer and Y2K
spokesperson Pat Boone Wednesday announced that he will be master of ceremonies
for Phoenix, Arizona's first Y2K Town Hall Meeting, to be held on Feb. 27.

Boone has been actively involved in helping families become prepared for the Year 2000
Computer Crisis. Committed to raising public awareness of this global problem, he was
quoted in the January issue of Vanity Fair as saying, "It's time to bring Y2K to the dinner
table."

The Phoenix Town Hall Meeting is part of a two-day Y2K Summit featuring
nationally-recognized experts and representatives from the City of Phoenix, local and
regional utilities, and major area businesses, who will convene around the common
theme of "Y2K: Thinking Globally, Preparing Locally.

"Sponsored by the Year 2000 National Education Taskforce (Y2KNET), based in
Scottsdale, Arizona, the Summit will host a panel of leading experts, including Tony
Keyes, author and host of the y2ktoday radio show; Rick Cowles, author of Electric
Utilities and Y2K; Karen Anderson, founder of Y2K Women; Tim Wilson, publisher of Y2K
News Magazine; Ken Klein, producer of the Y2K Family Preparedness video series; and
Craig Smith, founder of Y2KNET.

This is the first in a series of community Y2K preparedness events planned for the
Phoenix area. "Our goal is to provide a forum for leadership to help relieve public fears
about potential Y2K problems," said Y2KNET founder Craig Smith. "We believe the best
antidote for panic is preparedness."

The event will also provide exhibit space for local government agencies, non-profit
organizations and Y2K preparedness resource groups.

To accommodate mounting public interest in Y2K, the Summit is being held at Phoenix
First Assembly's 6,500-seat auditorium, at 13613 N. Cave Creek Road. Admission is
free. The schedule for the event, which is open to the public, is as follows:

Y2K Summit Preview, Friday, Feb. 26, 7:00-9:30 p.m., with Tony Keyes, Rick Cowles,
Karen Anderson, Tim Wilson, and Ken Klein. Craig Smith will moderate the roundtable
discussion. The panel will also answer audience questions.

Y2K Critical Preparation Resource Summit, Saturday, Feb. 27, 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. A
series of presentations by Y2K experts. Topics include: Global Y2K Realities, Electricity:
The Y2K Linchpin, Y2K Asset Diversification, Neighborhood Y2K Block Watches, and
Y2KCPR: A 12-Step Preparedness Checklist.

Y2K Town Hall Meeting, Saturday, Feb. 27, 6:00-8:30 p.m., featuring brief presentations

To all....Greenspan answered a Y2K question today in his own ubiquitous manner. Could hurt, may not!! He's worried about the rest
of the world and how it will effect our financial system.
ALYD's world-wide positions may be having a positive effect
on the stock. Any comments?
Looks like the 'Ted Effect" has been, somewhat, discredited!!
