(BUSINESS WIRE) - Meredith Broadcasting Group has signed an agreement with the COMARK Division of THOMCAST Communications, Inc., for the purchase of digital transmitters for its station group. Meredith stations WFSB in Hartford, WOFL in Orlando, KPDX in Portland, and KPHO in Phoenix have placed orders for COMARK digital transmitters as they gear up for an on-air date of November 1, 1999. COMARK is also supplying a 40 KW Optimum VHF solid state transmitter to KPHO in Phoenix. The COMARK Division will supply each of the Meredith Broadcasting stations with a COMARK high power digital transmitter, which utilizes the advanced DAP(TM) (digital adaptive pre-correction) technology. This technology is standard in all COMARK digital transmitter products, and allows for digital correction for transmitter linear and nonlinear performance distortions.
