(1) the volume has been much higher than that involved with any move over the last two years and

So was IMON. Look at it today. I'm not a big believer in price and volume history anyway.

(2) even though 3DO's income isn't entirely based on the internet it has real income and if you remember K-Tel from last summer that isn't a prerequisite anyway. I think a relatively small percentage of someones' portfolio might be gambled on this stock

I'd agree with this, as long as one views it as a gamble instead of an investment. 3DO is definitely better than most of the flake companies pumping their stocks recently. Don't forget to have an exit strategy.

"....the last time I checked most people don't really care if you earn your money the old fashioned way or not."

This may be true in some cases but for the most part this isn't holding true. Like I suggested in my post, not any company can yell "internet" and have its stock take off. As a poster later stated, alot of software companies have tried to sell their "internet" presence to little or no avail. The investing public will, of course, hear about the few cases where internet mania rears its head. But as is usually, the press will not cover the majority....failures. There's no glitz or glam in such a story....and many more such stories would be available than would successful stories. "Yes, again, the XXXX company announced they will sell their sewing kits on the internet. None the less, the stock didn't budge."

John: The valuations of Ebay, Amzn, Yhoo, et al are in the billions. Even 2nd tier internet stocks are in the low billions. THDO's puny valuation is in the mid $100M range. I really think these are apples and oranges. If THDO became caught up in the internet frenzy, you'd see the stock approach $300-500M in value (a double or triple from where we are today).
