Snerd: Yeppers, you are getting close. Best way to make money on an issue for the MM is on the big spread. If you know what you are doing and the issue is trading enough, it is a good way for anyone to make money. As to buy at 1/16, or an 1/8th over the bid, and then ask to sell at just below the ask. It helps if the issue is wrought with volume though.
