And you are telling me to pay 7.6% of SS tax for what?

You're paying alot more than 7.6%. And when the federal gov. dribbles it back to you at retirement, you won't even be able to live off it.

Byron, not everyone is saving like you are. It needs to be mandated, otherwise we'll be supporting our contemporaries under the guise of welfare instead of social security. All you have to do (at a minimum) is put the social security tax away, annually. In my case, that's more than $10K, anyway.
