Anyone out there know why MCOM is up so much today other than just a strong NASDAQ market? MCOM hasn't been pulled up by a strong NASDAQ in the past. I assume that some big players must know something the rest of us (the little guys) don't. It certainly isn't just because earnings will be announced soon because there can't be any significant news there. It must be because there is a feeling that a partner or purchaser has been found.

I saw three different ideas on the Yahoo thread: 128K new modem will arrive arround june 99! by: seektrader (M/bay area) 1680 of 1681 Just brought a ricochet modem a few day ago. They will roll out a new 128K modem @6/99 in bay area & seattle. The 28.8k service will automatic upgrade to 56K@ same time. They will give some kind of discount to trade-in the old one. I brought some stock @6. Rumor say CPQ will buy a internet relay company. Wish is this one! But i beleive the partner more likely is MSFT or QCOM. Letter from the President... by: sullivantd 1681 of 1681 .....it's coming. Last month Mr. Dreisbach's letter was published on 12/23. This month's letter will be due shortly. Should have some important news and updates. Stay tuned!! ComNet by: dpii32 1668 of 1681 I think the volume and increase is due to the fact the Metricom is an award finalist for this show. I also noticed that to qualify for an award the company has to introduce a new product at the show or within 8 weeks after. Does this mean they are introducing the new 128k service? So either MCOM is going to be bought, partner or win an award. Or it is just running up like it has twice before to $8 and then pulling back. Only time will tell. Later, (-8 Dennis 8-)
