threadsters,
For everyones edification, there are three types of diamondiferous rock which are currently being mined for diamond at various locations around the world:
1. Kimberlite-pipes only
2. Orangeite-pipes and dykes (and soon a cone sheet at Snap Lake)
3. Lamproite-so far only at Argyle in Australia

regards,
teevee
