If I'm interpreting your statement correctly, then I agree with your conclusion, but not the reason for it.

Compaq doesn't make thin client computers, but they do make servers. So it makes sense for them to sell Citrix software. They are also moving more toward making money by selling services. Since MetaFrame installations require substantial integration effort, there is plenty of money to be made that way as well.

It is definitely a good thing to have Compaq selling Citrix software.
