Jenna: Still in WDC. Looked pretty ugly at end of day. Thoughts for tomorrow or longer term hold or is this a sick puppy? TIA

GTRC..+3 1/4 GNET up 6.. FSFT 6 +7/8.. tired of the IMON's, the GBFE's and some of the hype. I know occasionally one of these 'flash in the pans' will hit pay dirt but do you really want to buy a stock that is up 100% or 50% and down the next day by the same amount? Sure it's okay for the lucky few that get in on it right before it goes up, but what about the followers who get aboard thinking there is more upside and get in on the next day when it whoosh!! down 50%.. I would really like to keep those plays to a minimum on the thread especially since you can't really hold them more than 24 hours anyhow.

GTRC is one of the stocks I own and checked as I usually do once after the close was up quite a bit today. I've been focused on the technology part of the earnings plays aand that was very good for the last 6 weeks but I think we should stretch and consider the wonderful chances of triple and high double digit growth in other sectors as well. And that is true for the watch lists as well..

Remember market is not evenly overvalued. Some sectors are way overbought while others are coming back from being out of favor. Earnings are still coming in strongly. Just look at GM and some of the huge companies. What we have here is a over-fat technology sector and there needs to be someone to stick a pin in it and let out the pressure before it explodes.. Some strategy I might use in the next 2-5 trading sessions is get some some of those very 'toppy' companies.. Not short them because shorting is more dangerous than buying puts. But here and there are stocks that are quite overbought. Alongside those stocks I will continue with the earnings plays across all sectors so we cover everything.. I will not include the internet sector at this time for buying puts.
