John H: That's basic stuff in Metastock. It's easiest to write scans for stocks crossing moving averages, but there are all sorts of ways to write ones that look for stocks approaching MA's, too. You wouldn't have to specify a price in the scans. T'ain't difficult.

Sure most TA programs will but you still have to determine your approach boundaries. The trick is picking the right MA for your goals.
