Of course he knows ... but he has already decided what he wants to do publicly -- support the administration and the continuation. As often as he can he wants to wash his hands of the mess as well. He talks so much in both ways he is covered. If we crash -- he has 100's of statements he can point to as warning or disbelief at the high stock prices, etc. It's like MB said, these guys (Rubin, Greenspan) will leave it to someone else to take the heat. I'm sure they are both hoping it won't happen on their watch ...
