Tech Review, review, continued.

6. Our boys cast aspersions on Greenspan's visit to China. Hey, have you ever tried to buy authentic Kung Pao chicken in D.C.? There is no problem. China is such a good friend of ours that they would never switch from dollars to Euros. Remember how they helped us in Korea and how, just a couple of years ago, they said they'd sink the Seventh Fleet if it sailed in The Straits of Formosa? They wouldn't do anything to harm us. <G>

7. The Review is still saying that PC sales are not as good as many believe. They don't realize that all those unsold boxes stacked up at the distributors are really empty. They are Potemkin Computers to trap the bears into making wrong investment decisions. <G> So far, I dont' have a good reason why every major pc distributor would report lousy eps, but I know it has nothing to do with pc sales. <G>

8. He rips the face off Intel and their "incentives" scam last quarter and how that relates to the lousy 1Q forecast from the co. Something I didn't know is that incentives do not reduce revenues. Got to take the old Qualtiy of Earnings refresher class again. Lord, I hate accounting. <G> These cos. can think up new tricks faster than I can learn about them.

9. "SkeeterBug's and Dave's Excellent Adventure" with Micron's phony reports, which took place right here on SI, gets some nice coverage. Hey, guys, you may not be "ready for CNBS players," but you are not being totally ignored.

I have just skimmed some points that are of interest to me. This is a long, erudite and funny piece. Highly recommended.

I have no connection to The Tech Review, The High Tech Strategist, or Barron's. I know Early only from this thread. I don't know Fred Hickey personally. I have met many Barron's writers over the years, but only one is still with the rag, and he wasn't with Barron's when I met him. I've said this before, but since some say I am several people and not real, I felt it bore repeating. <G>
