Re: GREENSPAN Would someone please post whether downturn in general market and msft price late in the day occurred because of greenspan's comments re the market. Trying to learn whether Greenspans's market comments came before or after close of market. hoping, obviously that he did his business before 4:00 and market has already digested him. If not, concerned about tommorrow. then again, if general sell off 2 likely outcomes: 1. most stocks (particularly high flying nets) are sold and funds flow to safe haven msft. 2. msft goes down along with the rest...in which case, BUY, BUY "overly exuberant" comment gave a few day downturn then we were back at it. recognize that we are in different environment this time around.

Business as usual !!!! AG said : US economy is growing strongly, but corp earning is shrinking <ggg> , Profit is shrinking, but economy is very strong. What a great logic. Earning is weak so stock price can't be justified , and can't justified by the strong economy either ? What a great logic. economy is strong, earning is weak, stock price can not be justified. Unemployment rate is low, inflation is low, rate is low, but stock price can't be justified, and the price is too high. So, what can justify the stock price ? -----> FROM AG's theory, the followings should justify the stock price: Weak economy, strong corp earning, high inflation, high rate, high unemployment rate, So, business as usual, to talk down the stock.But this time, only one day show. The released number told everything. Microsoft had an exploded earning, business is strong, earning is strong, growth is strong, and the stock price is too low.
