Dave used to always beat me to the shorts, and I finally asked him what the deal was, as we both study under the same master. Dave had came up with a modified short, and that's what I usually use now on stocks that gap up. The trigger was set at the average of the open and the first hour's low, which came to 49 7/16. For whatever reason, I was filled at 49 1/2. I wouldn't recommend using this stratagy unless you can check the tick by tick action and volume in real time. Hope this helps, Jay
