Hedging the XLK portfolio

Hi, Dennis:

Your idea of owning the XLK and short the out-of-money call is not
a bad idea. My suggestion would be adding a short DIA (Dow Jones
Depository Receipts traded on the Amex) component to the position. The
XLK can be expected to move in conjunction with the Dow Jones on the
upside, but shorting the DIA would remove all downside risk to the
position. Any comments?

Rgds,

When I look up LJLAJ, it says that the strike is 36. Not very familiar with this area of options but wondering if the narrower strikes of index options apply here and naming conventions of stock options don't apply here. Covered call return seems too good to be true.
