Hello, LGND Thread... I just finished reading an article about Ligand Pharmaceuticals in the Feb. 1999 issue of Kiplinger's. Actually, it was an article within an article...MIRACLE MAKERS WITH BIG PROMISE...about five biotech companies who were starting to conquer hard-to-cure diseases. Ligand was one of the five; the magazine highlighted this company's treatment for Kaposi's sarcoma which, according to the article, is one of many complications linked with AIDS. The article read very well ...stating that the company should be receiving final FDA approval for Panretin Gel early inn 1999. I was just curious if anyone here had read the article and whether or not you might agree or disagree that the FDA approval was as close at hand as the article implied.
