Thanks for the info! I'm a database guy, and know nothing about this network stuff any more. What I don't understand, if I could trouble you, is this: I keep reading that the constraint on the internet is 'the last mile', the connection between the home and the local telephone company switch. If DSL, which runs 20 times faster than typical modems, can run on existing lines, what's the big deal? Why can't everybody get it now? Further adding to my confusion: people I know in some locations can't go faster than 28K, supposedly because the lines are too bad.

In my igorance, I thought MFNX filled in this niche'. But, at least I bought it! And it did goood today! Thanks again.
