What would be an example of a 'price scanning service'.?

If a service actively checks vendors for prices.

A good example is this thread. We call it like we see it.

There is no guarantee that these 'pricing services' have the lowest prices. They list only prices of the vendors that choose to pay the price to be listed. A lot of vendors will advertise one or two 'draws' in Price Watch.
