I guess you misunderstood my post. I am laughing for the very reason you mentioned in that it is "not over yet." So I guess syntacwise we agree. It's not even over yet.

Duckster, you've got to admit these naysayers have a pretty strong argument. After all, Valence has been threatening to make batteries for years. They said they were ready but elected instead to install their own coater/laminators and simultaneously develop a higher-performance version. Insiders bought hundreds of thousands of shares just to make it look good, and after the naysayers said they would never get financing, they got even better terms lately.

They probably advertised and hired all those workers and registered the 300 or so patents just to make it look good and lure investors, with the help of the MCI/Worldcom chairman who recently came on board and bought additional stock for himself.

Such an elaborate conspiracy- Bellcore takes a 1.5 million share position in Valence but neglects to buy stock in any other licensee. Billionaire Car Berg, Disk Drive Inventor and long time Seagate CEO Al Shugart buying more stock too. They must sit in the boardroom and think of ways to outsmart the investors. I must be crazy for believing folks like that became involved because they expect a successful outcome!
