after reading a few of these posts i am confused over whether i am joining a religion or a thread but anyway, to the poster who is guaging dell sales activity based on hold time to buy dell computer & chat with the dell employee--i have found this to be a reliable barometer in the case of an on-line stock trading firm --ameritrade (amtd). hold times were 2 - 3 minutes 4 weeks ago...then rose to 4 - 5 minutes last week 1999...swelled to 7 -10 minutes lately &
whereas i used to talk with the same trader every now and again--it is now a new person every time. AMDT announced earnings today & it beat street...citing huge increase in call volume. GO DELL

Hey Jean,

Just bought an XPS R400 myself. Ordered it on 1/8, shipped on 1/13. Didn't get it until 1/18. Airborne ships out of Ohio, and the bad weather delayed my delivery.

According to the Dell Rep. I spoke with, he said they were very busy. In fact he said they were busier now than before Christmas. When I told him I was a shareholder, he said "you will be very happy come February!"

GO DELL!!
