There is a kernel of truth in what you say. Mir was closed in 1988,if I remember correctly, and it took DeBeers another 10 years at $1-1.5 billion a year just to get the balance of stockpiled Mir diamond out of the way. There still might be some held back...I'm talking about the trays full of octahedrons up to the size of goose eggs...in a really good deposit, production is limited by what the market can take without degrading prices. Nice problem to have.

This is rediculous. If that were the case, all other diamond mines with small 50 carat diamonds would become valueless. WSP mine would be the number uno mine in the world. WSP can't loose what ever way she goes. LOL
