David -- IMO anything they are spending money on marketing they will be selling. Leads from the mktg should be handeled internally especially with their present clients. The probability of forwarding leads or questions to HDIE seems remote when their service and sales people must know the product anyway. Surely the idea many customers have accounts at IBM and see no need to open an account at HDIE has been addressed. Many clients will feel more comfortable with their known salespeople -- to chase them to HDIE may chase them to others also which would be a potential lost customer for HDIE & IBM. I think they are selling..... why pay for mkting something for another company? They effectively add volume but take a percentage off the top---- something both are happy to do certainly..
