you want civilians to do something? tell us what the hell is going on. hell, you can send the stuff to me and i will make sure it gets published.

the meaning of my original post has been lost in all this. whether the military asked for it or not, which in many cases they did, they got what they wanted during the 80s because reagan was an idiot who actually beleived the CIA. or they got what they didnt want. it doesnt really matter, since the net result was still the same.

WE OVERSPENT ON THE MILITARY. the only blame i assigned was to the politicos in charge. i understand that there are areas where the money should have gone, housing, etc. for example. i am sorry it didnt make it there. i didnt vote for the guy who thought we needed still more nukes and a bomber that is about as useless as a biplane.

the fact remains we spent too damn much money. thats it.
