when in Feb does dell plan to announce. also, you may want to read dell thread re hold time on phone to buy a dell computer & the number of new sales people they have manning phones. i found these things to be a reliable barometer for amtd (ameritrade)...turns out ever-increasing hold time to make a trade with them over the phone did signify surging demand

Microsoft supports all the computers in the sub 1K sector, so they get license fees from boxmakers using amd and cyrix chips as well as the Intel crowd. Dell is primarily a PII house since they don't chase the home pc sector, so Intel's shift in allocation from Celeron to PII is a positive indicator for them. I don't see any conflict in the data, but then again, I am a dellhead <g>.
