Thanks, Mohan, The article is a little dated with ATHM already buying XCIT proof the internet is moving fast. No mention of broadband though, very large omission on IDC's part. Broadband is going to change the internet in more ways then anything to date. IMHO

If only the growth estimates turn out to be true, we are going to be in a growth industry the likes of which we've never seen. Hang on to your Dell, because we are still going to need tons of PCs. But this tells me that we need to look at the internet glue (CSCO, LU, etc.), the bandwidth (QWST, the Bells, etc.) and the ISPs whether cable or otherwise (AOL, others).

And, of course, the portals and internet businesses. With that sort of growth, these landscapes will change dramatically. I think we are going to see some shifting sands here. It doesn't necessarily bode well for specific companies like YHOO and AMZN as more and more companies come on line. Merger mania!
