SW, regarding MCNS please read the following post on the MCNS thread. Things are looking better and better. To: Peter Berkman (185 ) From: jackie Wednesday, Jan 20 1999 10:39PM ET Reply # of 204 To Peter and all, This is straight from the horse's mouth on the question of NASDAQ listing for MCNS. Rather than indulge in speculation about the plans for the company, I decided to simply ask the burning question. The following is my question and Mr. Jennings response. Draw your own conclusions: Subject: Plans for NASDAQ Listing Date: Tue, 19 Jan 1999 18:16:13 -0700 From: Jack Simmons <jarthur@earthlink.net> To: jjennings@mediconsult.com Dear Mr. Jennings, I have been a shareholder of MCNS for some time now. At least over a year. The recent developments and price movements have been quite gratifying. It must be very satisfying for the management to see the business plan unfold as expected. Speaking of plans, does MCNS have any plans for obtaining a listing on the NASDAQ? If so, is there any time frame you could share with me, and others as I will be quite open about your answer? This question is prompted, in part, by discussions on the Silicon Investor website. A lot of people there would like to see a move from BB status to NASDAQ. This would automatically trigger interest in a lot of investors who shun BB investments. Please do not answer my questions if doing so will jeopardize anyone or any plans for the company. In any case, please convey my congratulations to the management on a job well done. Regards, Jack A. Simmons Jack: Thank you for your e-mail and thank you even more for your sensitivity about our plans for NASDAQ. Obtaining a NASDAQ quote has been a corporate objective of ours for a number of fairly obvious reasons. As you probably know, an application for a NASDAQ listing can be made once a company meets certain formal requirements, which we now believe we do. However, the approval process itself and the timing of any such approval is beyond the control of the applicant. We are aware of a number of companies that have issued a release about the fact they've applied for a NASDAQ quotation. Our concern with this is that they have no real control over the timing or the outcome, and yet the market often responds as though it is a fait accompli and awards a much higher valuation immediately. We think it is more appropriate to match the valuation with firm news. Further, our disclosure policy is to discuss only those corporate developments for which there is hard evidence and, consequently, until such approval (if any) is received, we will not be making any announcement regarding our status on obtaining a NASDAQ quotation. As a shareholder, you might be interested to receive our investor package by mail. If so, just provide your mailing address and we'll send one along. Also, in order that you stay up-to-date, you might want to have us add your name to our e-mail list for press releases, etc. If/when you wish to be removed from the list, please just contact me by e-mail or the toll free number below and we'll take care of it. We want to be sure that only those people who want to receive e-mails do so!
