NutNvestor, Factoids courtesy of Needham and company 1) Revenue of $3.2 M exceeded $2.6 M estimate largely on strength of recent Web21 acquisition. Co. would of likely exceeded estimate without Web21. Non-advertising revenue (ie. SI subscriptions/other) accounted for more than 30% of quarterly revenue despite the fact that web21 is all advertising. According to GNET management in town last week (this is from memory), SI membership has risen from approx 80,000 to approx. 105,000 since late June. The 25,000 new members are hopefully on this new recurring revenue plan of six month memberships providing a consistent revenue stream. How many members can they grow to????? 2) Daily page views grew sequentially to 8.1 million from 6.7 million; total number of advertisers increased to 290 from 227 sequentially. 3) If you include Web21 GNET would likely land in the 23rd most trafficked internet networks just behind NBC and CNets snap! site. 4) Hypermart finished the quarter with 130,000 businesses onilne and is adding about 15,000 a month. GNET management said last week that they are several months away from having a payment/e-commerce software solution (similar to what OMKT and others offer)so that Hypermart members can do biz on the site. IMO this is a huge opportunity. 5) For those of you who bother with even attempting some sort of valuation, based on last nights close the stock was trading at 39x calendar 99 revenue estimate versus a portal average of 30x (median 21x) with stock valued "per unique user" of $149 versus $225 average of XCIT, LCOS and SEEK and $1,035 for YHOO. Three independent portals remain and the "scarcity value" is now a buzzword. 6) Company is doing quite well and strengthened management team with addition of Mike Riccio to COO. He seems like a nice guy and is well connected in the industry. No doubt if a buyout offers comes their way his past experience will help. Will likely also help structure acquisition terms if more deals are in the works. 7) Mr. Pink's SI boycott ends tomorrow. Shares should trade higher on news.
