I see where Linux has grabbed 17% of the server market already. (Financial Post, Business Section Jan 21). It seems that size(and price) does matter. Compaq, it seems, is close to inking a deal with Red Hat. So if you work on Linux and deliver a product you can make a few bucksola. hmmmmmmm... Sort of underlines my grandiose schema to make a few tag ons to the Linux machine. ie a better GUI which as I have added ad nauseaoso so many delightful times before, HAS been actuated in the past on other Unices* and, lo! it was so successful and so much better than X-Osis. But what's a million? You can have it. Let IBM make all the money, surely they will give some to those of us who so dutifully use their products.

* we are not talking about Motif here!
