Battery Plus, A Canada Retail Chain, Sells SanDisk Products

SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 21, 1999--SanDisk Corp. (Nasdaq:SNDK -
news) announced today that Battery Plus, one of Canada's largest electronic specialty retail chains, has signed an agreement to sell
SanDisk CompactFlash(TM) (CF(TM)) memory cards and the ImageMate(TM) external CF drive (parallel port and USB versions) for
PC and Macintosh computers.

The chain has 74 stores across Canada.

Battery Plus offers the latest handheld electronic products, along with various accessories and software. Leading brand names such as
Psion, HP, Casio and Sharp -- which already use SanDisk memory cards -- are available at Battery Plus stores.

''Our growth is due to the service which we provide as well as the quality brand name products we sell,'' said Jim Younker, director
of merchandising at Battery Plus, Inc. ''SanDisk is the inventor of CompactFlash and the leader in the flash market. We are pleased to
have SanDisk products on our shelves.''

SanDisk CompactFlash memory cards, which are removable, reusable and carry a 10 Million Picture Guarantee(TM), are the industry
standard small size memory cards. They are used in over 130 products including digital cameras, handheld PCs, audio recorders,
photo printers, camcorders, auto PCs, palm sized PCs, medical monitors and industrial computers.

Over 60 digital cameras use CompactFlash as digital film and more than 30 handheld PCs store valuable data files on CF cards.
SanDisk is the primary flash card supplier to most major OEMs and is the industry market share leader in flash cards.
