Les,

The State of the Union speech was the
most amazing thing I ever saw. The
guy proposed spending the entire tax
base for the next 15 years, spend not
one dime paying down the 5.5 trillion
dollar deficit, and Americans love him
for it. What is everyone smoking?

For a moment, he reminded me of how
Adolf Hitler (sorry about the Internet
violation of invoking anything from
the Third Reich) used to review his
troops of 13 year olds right before the
battle for Berlin. Old Adolf was talking
about all these new armies and wonder
weapons that were about to be unleashed
against the enemies of the Reich. Of
course, nobody wanted to tell old Adolf
that 2 Russian armies were bearing down
on Berlin and that the Capitol of
Germany was about to be destroyed. For
a moment, I though Bill Clinton was just
as delusional...he had visions of trillion
dollar budget surpluses with which he could
spend to his hearts desire. He saw "Radio
Free Africa", and "Mandatory Summer School".
He even had a vision of school vouchers!!!
At least he didn't start channeling with
some 10,000 year old diety.

Oh well...
