Right, Bill. What, exactly, did Reagan do to cause the Soviet Union to collapse? The Reaganauts dumped a lot of covert aid into Afghanistan, but Carter started that. Then the aid continued after the Russians pulled out, leading to another humanitarian triumph.

At any rate, the Soviet economy was going nowhere fast, regardless of anything Reagan did.
