Walter,

I'm a little concerned actually. eDigital's competitors were very
quick to the consumer market with their products.Norris seemed to be
be the first one talking about these players (going back to June 97?)
but to date have not produced one. Back then they talked about near
cd quality, now everyone has cd quality,so things are moving very fast.I don't understand what they are waiting for in respect to the consumer market. I'm assuming the Lanier deal consumed all their energies and that's understandable as the medical market promises to
be huge in it's own way. But if I want to buy one of these players
today- and at $239.00 they can't be said to be expensive- I obviously
can't buy one from Norris, best,p.b.

It should be obvious to all that you do not need the Micro OS to build a music recorder. None of the recorders built to date use Lucent's PAC compression. I anticipate that Edig will have that privilege. KOBE's and MP3 will each have an API (application programming interface)to allow their compression algorithims to work with the standard ultimately approved by the RIAA.

Lucent has already indicated a willingness to work with Cognicity, Celestial, and assumedly, Edig on this project. The bigger question remains about how close Lucent may be to getting RIAA approval for their watermarking and encryption partners technology. In terms of clout and expertise I believe it likely they will soon hammer out an agreement with the RIAA and use the above contributors.

The MicroOS better serves functionality required by VtT, TtV, speech recognition and other speech operations.

I believe investors will be better served by focusing on the trading now taking place. It would appear to me that some of our most persistent warrant conversion private placement investors are nearing the end of their portfolio holdings.

The music market is very big and Lucent brings a lot to the table.
