This whole mess of huge run-up than crashing is partly due to hyping by Mary Meeker in the Barron's article in early December, when YHOO was at about 200. It has hurt many people on both the short and long sides of this stock. Without that article, we would have a more orderly and smaller up or downs, and that would have been better for many people. It just shows how much damage a lunatic analyst can do to so many people and the internet sector.
