holding MSPG,VRIO.. Out PVN with 5...NITE stopped out. holding partial BVSN. STRX looking good through the close. BRYO coming back strongly played it once and now in again through the close. You long termers might want to consider POS a premium internet advertiser.. I've been in it before and it was upgraded to buy this afternoon. LAMR, OSI from same sector.. I've reserached all three (available in the archives). LAMR was on quite a nice uptrend in the last few days.

Providian Financial Corp. (PVN) said it expects to achieve 50% earnings-per-share
growth in 1999. The company also expects to increase its goal for long-term
earnings-per-share growth to at least 25%. A First Call survey of 13 analysts put the
company's 1999 net income at $2.99 a share.
The company said fourth-quarter net interest income rose to $183.7 million from
$103.5 million a year ago. Noninterest income rose to $420.2 million from $187.2 million
a year earlier.
The financial-services company said its total managed accounts at the end of 1998
rose 71% from year-end 1997 to 8 million, including 1.9 million account relationships
established during the latest fourth quarter.
