Bill, you are welcome. I calculated from Jan-Aug. 1998, M. Dell sold altogether 6.4263 million shares. Actually he, as well as most of other insiders, only started "fire" sale since last May. Before that he only sold at very small lots, like 50k or less. Combine this with what they have told institutional investors in their last July conference call, you know why Dell stock price behaved not quite like before since last July. The volume was down a lot because less institutional buyers, etc. Most of current buyers are smaller investors, who, in case there is a sell-off, will be left to hold the bag.
