Well, I respectfully disagree with you on one major point, we are not in control, not by a longshot.
It is their game, their park, they make the rules, they enforce the rules as they want, and they also control the liquidity, via FED agreements. We just get to play. Every one of us signs an arbitration form when we open an account. Has anyone here ever gone through arbitration? It's like a rectal exam, all crap.
Has anyone here ever beat a mm out of a dime? It can't be done.

III's do control a great amount of capital now, no arguing that. So, we control a huge chunk money flow.

We now have a tug between Greenspan and Rubin in regards to the SS question.

Amazing Rande, just got off the phone with my broker and we had the same exact conversation. We saw the markets turn on a dime before the bell yesterday, and early this morning that continued. Then III felt it was safe again and began testing the water, only to have it slide down once again today (William's threory of Wall Street's inevitable control shown here).

I predict some decent upticks towards close, followed by a moderately positive day in the markets tomorrow. You're description of the length of time for III to react to the big wig's actions is very accurate IMO. It took awhile at first... we'll see this rebound being the quickest one yet. JMHO

BTW, picked up some more PRFM under $6.
