freeus, Last August I was OK (in fact I was buying aggressively) but in October I had to meet margin calls comparable to my annual compensation (including bonus and options). And by being forced to sell at that time I then lost about 2-3 times the margin call amount in opportunity cost during the subsequent rally. No, I was not cool at that time. My confidence was badly bruised. Thankfully I have a wonderful and extremely supportive wife who helped me pull through the crisis. I started using margin as sparingly as possible from that point on and only hold things long-term. For leverage I use LEAPS. And I have been COOL since then. I still remain 100% invested. -Apratim.
