*OT* I agree that Libby Dole is an intriguing choice for the Republicans....I don't underestimate her for a moment....Without getting pushed hard on the right, I think she is a dead heat with Gov. Bush....the problem I see, Chuzz, is that Quayle will siphon off the religious right and family vote (right-wing of party) from Dole/Bush...ie., I see the real logjam if those three go at it....and someone will win...but it go all the way to the convention.....and that would not be good for the Republicans...

It will be interesting to see if we see a "reverse-Hillary" effect during Libby's campaign...ie., some believing that Bob Dole is also a candidate ("two for the price of one")...will this be a negative for her?

Regardless, I think it would be important for the country to have Elizabeth Dole run for Prez (but not necessarily win)...I think she would be a decent, well-respected, good resumed candidate...a great choice to finally break the "glass-ceiling"...

I have not fully researched her, but it appears that she has had an impressive career (as far as jobs go), but I believe the jury is a bit out on how effective she was in her (different) roles (over the years)....need to look up a little more, though, before I take that position....

Quayle's support will be limited, but deep...he picks up Buchanan's crowd and some moderates...

Do you think Bradley would settle for VP? I dunno...

Gore is going to be real hard to beat...He owns the left....and sits squarely in the middle...high-tech (kindof) guy too....Where are the holes, Chuzz?
