IDE1, or master on IDE2) to AUTO and you'll get your CDROM

Interesting, Dan. One more for the ol' book of tricks.

This is not universal, though. This weekend
I configured my daughter's computer (Win 95), bios
autodetect marked CD None, but it worked in Win 95, no
problem.

Anyhow, glad you've solved your problem.

DANIEL.SUCCESS!!!!

Yesterday it seemed there were a lot of problems. Many were solved on our anniversary!

I guess I won't find out if the CDROM has to be recognized by the bios to work. It is likely that Spots ideas may have worked too.

It worked exactly as you indicated. I did crack the manual WRT the CDROM issue. I did not find anything helpful. IMO the ABIT manual is not as good as I have indicated in the past. I do not know if the manual has gone down hill or I have more intelligent questions WRT experiencing an installation.

Thanks
