Earnings expectations are high... Consensus estimate equals $0.66 but anything less than $0.69 will be seen as disappointment.

Sun Microsystems Inc. (SUNW) 98 5/8 -6 3/4: maker of enterprise network computing products posts a fiscal Q2 operating net of $0.67 a share, a penny ahead of the First Call estimate, but below the whisper number, vs year-ago profit of $0.38 a share; revenues rose 16.7% to $2.8 bln; company also declares a 2-for-1 stock split.
