Sun posts profit
Sun Microsystems reported a fiscal second quarter profit of 67 cents a share, before charges, Thursday, compared with 57 cents a year ago. According to First Call, the company was expected to earn 66 cents a share in the quarter. Sun also declared a two-for-one stock split.
