Agreed! Share price has for some time reflected the some of unknown potential based upon the know reserves. As the known reserves expand the certainty of value is becoming clearer and therefore the speculitive portion has room to rise. We did see some rising of this speculative position because of the NR confirming an expanding resource.

Barrick's offer is the largest influencing factor in price since they made their offer at $5.50. That was their first offer and that was with less than the current known high grade reserves. Down side for Barrick is reducing as drilling continues so it is clear that the upside is expanding too. That said the price must! Time is our friend not foe and drilling our engine. We will move ahead!

DD,

The share price of ARP seems to be dictated mostly upon last published bid price. The big price spike in this stock occurred when it was determined Barrick had approached the Lundins with $5.50/share. Even though it was rejected, people logically thought it must be worth around $5.50.

I do find it interesting that volume has been sizable over the last couple of days...given the lull in bid activity I would expect very quiet volume but that has not been the case.
