It goes back to the issue of personal responsibility. A change of conscience of the society at large makes it a lot easier on individuals though. No body likes to be the butt of sex jokes and 15 to 25 year olds are the most vulnerable. Among this crowd it is much more popular to make jokes about people "not getting any" than the sexually active. When in a prime time sit com the star proclaims they haven't had sex in over a month, the canned laughter leads the audience to perceive them as impotent or deranged as a result. Nice, for people struggling to establish a level of confidence in their identity. Majic???
