Pro-lifers believe that abortion has led to such phenomena as the teen mothers who gave birth and left their children in the trash, and that such things are merely a symptom of a wider increase in callousness and irresponsibility. That is absolutely ridiculous. Every psycopath in the world is not a result of the abortion debate, despite the constant drum beat from the right.

certainly doesn't take long before the fetus is recognizably a human The problem with the Radical pro life position is that no compromise is allowed. A drug like RU47 could work when the fetus is a few cells. The pro choice side is unable to initiate compromise because the issue is never allowed to rest. Each compromise is a new starting position for the Radicals. I don't think the Radicals want a position that we can all tolerate since they want the issue to fire up the troops. PT
