TV / Com wants AlphaStar receivers. All rights reserved. Tee-Comm Electronics Inc. will sell up to one-third of its digital broadcast satellite or DBS reception system inventory to TV / Com International Inc. for $1.8 million in September 1998. The move is part of Tee-Comm's efforts to minimize warehouse costs as well as repay its many creditors following bankruptcy proceedings. Under the deal, TV / Com will purchase at least 1,000 and up to 8,000 reception systems for $225 each. The deal allows TV / Com to regain control of proprietary security code designed into the DBS receivers including all security cards in inventory programmed with the source code.
